A moment in Philippines

I never ever forget my moment in Jose Rizal born country when i visited there last year. Why Philippines? All my friends asked me with that question. My answer is simple, 'My heart bring me there'. When they heard that, I saw most of them starred at me with a thousands puzzle, wrinkle forehead and weird smile. Sorry dude, I cant tell you why I choosed to spend my holiday there. Hehehe..

       Diosdado Macapagal Airport, Pampanga.

Day 1

I was arrived at 3.50pm at Diosdado Macapagal Airport in Clark. This airport was American Air Base in Philippines. It is located in Pampanga Province, 2 hours from Manila.

I made a mistake when i took a cab from the airport with very expensive fare which is 4000 Peso equivalent with RM 292! What a shocked! Later my friend from Angeles City asked me how the way i got proceeded to Manila, then i told her by cab. She said I actually can ride a bus from Dau Terminal near Clark going to Manila. It just spend about 400 Peso! :( Gosh! I lost RM 262 of the fare..Ggggrrr.....

Day 2

I cant wait to exploring Manila! I woke up at 7 am in the morning, taking bath and breakfast with my buddy. Then we went to a bookstore to bought a map. But unfortunately the bookstore did not open yet. While waiting, I was wondering that Philipino is a hardworking people. They went to work as early as 5 am and most of them is a hawker. There are not so many differences between us. In Malaysia we can trace that local law is very strict for vendors but instead in Philippines. They are freely to sale anything along the road!

They start the bussines as early as 5am in the morning (selling pineapple slice)

I proceeded to Cainta Rizal. I took a bus and the fare is very cheap which is 25 Peso (RM 1.80) about 30km from Manila! Its a very tired day for me. But im very enjoyed it. I have a chance to visited Siena College in Cainta Rizal, all the student and staff very warm welcome to visitors. They treated me so nice.

The popular transport in Philippine 'tricycle'.

Day 3

I stayed at Sogo Hotel, at Cubao, Quezon City. That hotel just for the transitor and the worst thing about this hotel is for those who want to make love and it could rent for hours. Hahaha.. I knew this info from my friend who laughed at me when I told her that I was stayed there.

As ussual, Cubao is among the busiest city in Philippines. The traffic never calm and always noisy for 24 hours. Public transport is the most popular service here. I took walkabout with my friend at 2am in the morning. She told me that most of Philippines cities never sleep even for a second. People works hard every minute because the poverty dilemma. I believe it because I've seen it by my own eyes. Homeless is everywhere and the most things that I cant accept is when we met an old prostitute walking around to find 'customer'!

Cubao Street, a very crowded place. A side of a city that never sleep.

Seems she shame to share this things to me but this is the reality. She slowly confessed that she is very shameful to me because I came from the develop country. But in fact, we have our people like them as well here.

This is my post infront of a retail shop. Looklike I am a Philipino too!

The advertisement method in Makati City. Seems Harian Metro using this way lately here in Malaysia.

Day 4

After enjoying my day in Quezon City, I proceeded to Pampanga Province to meet my another friends. They are Dianne Kristine and Tracy Lavarias. I took a Green Liner bus from Cubao Terminal going to Dau Terminal in Pampanga. Arrived at Dau, I ride a bus again going to Angeles City and took a tricycle bike  proceed to Smash Marlboro intersection. The term intersection is 'junction' in Malaysia.

I met Dianne Kristine, Tracy Lavarias and Trixie Tagalog at the Xevera, Calibutbut. They work as admin assistant in a housing company. They gave me a model house to stay for a night just for 1000 Peso which is RM 70. What a lucky I was!

At night, we enjoying dinner and talk and talk and talk at Xevera resto bar. Snap pictures and so on. At the last night with my Philipinos friends makes me feel wanna stay there for more days! That is the wonderful moment to meet with Dianne Kristine, Tracy Lavarias, Trixie Tagalog, Princess Triumpho, Jay Criss, Randy and Mdm. Maila.

Having a light dinner at the Fontana with friends those celebrating my visit.

Day 5

Its time to go home. After ate the breakfast courtesy from Tracy, we recorded a thousand thanks to the friends. Its a very sad moment to leave them. We were sent by Xevera driver with Dianne Kristine and Titodudes.  As souvenirs from Philippines, I bought Barong Tagalog and Philippines flag. Then its time to fly back to my hometown.

Dianne Kristine, the host of my visit to Philipine. I never forget this moment along with her and Tracy.

There are so many things i got from this period. I realized that its hard to change anything but with effort it is possible. My heart bring me to the island and for sure my heart is left there and I need to take it back. When? Sooner...
